How to Check, Activate and Deactivate BSNL VAS (Value Added Services) on Mobile SIM

BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) offers many VAS or Value Added Services to its Mobile users. Users may be from either Prepaid or Postpaid category. some Value-added services are News, Finance, Entertainment, TV Schedule, Travel, Downloads and Astrology. Let us know how to check, activate and deactivate existing VAS services on your BSNL SIM using SMS method.

How to Check, Activate and Deactivate BSNL VAS Services

We shall check and modify these VAS services using an SMS method.

Check BSNL VAS Services

To check existing and active BSNL VAS services on your Prepaid or Postpaid SIM, send an SMS to 155223 in the below format.

CHECK to 155223

If any service is active, it displays the Services List along with Service Codes. Otherwise, it shows a message saying No Active VAS Services are activated.

Alternatively, you can call the phone number 155223 from your BSNL SIM. You will get IVRS announcements about existing or already activated VAS services on your SIM.

Deactivate BSNL VAS Services

To stop any VAS service activated on your BSNL prepaid mobile sim, simply send an SMS with a single word “STOP” to the phone number 155223. You will receive a list of VAS services activated on your phone with codes. Reply the correct Service Code to activate it. After successful deactivation, you will receive a final confimation SMS message.

Alternatively, you can call the phone number 155223 and follow the IVRS instructions to deactivate any existing VAS services on your SIM.

This is how we can successfully check and deactivate any BSNL VAS service like Caller Tune, Cricket or Horoscope using SMS Method and IVRS Method.

    Thank you so much. So simple and easy. I did it and unsubscribed from services in just a few moments. Finding such information even on the BSNL website is practically impossible.

    But the GPRS Service wasn’t required by me . Daily 2or3times message regarding the usage was informed to me by SMS and an amount deducted was noted. Anyway this is not fair.
